Busy Bees Training Academy in Shenstone held a Paediatric First Aid training course for those working directly with children. One course attendee, Anieka Davies, said: “I enjoyed being part of the course run by Busy Bees, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I learnt a number of different subjects, including the responsibilities of a first aider, how to find a pulse, how fast a child and adult pulse should be, how to deal with different types of wounds and how to stop bleeding.
“I would recommend this course to others because it’s full of information needed to be a successful first aider, and explained thoroughly in a kind, friendly environment.”
Busy Bees Training Academy were appointed by Virgin Trains to deliver Fire Safety & Manual Handling and First Aid at Work short courses, an Emergency First Aid refresher and De-Fib training to their staff in Glasgow and Crewe.
“The primary reason that we continue to work with Busy Bees Training Academy is the consistently high level of customer service that we receive from them: nothing is too much trouble and even with tight deadlines, they have always been on hand to accommodate us.
“We know that we can rely on Busy Bees Training Academy. It’s important for us to have confidence in the training provider that we elect, especially with regard to their knowledge about the subject they are instructing in. We continuously receive good feedback from delegates regarding the standard of training that we receive, particularly about Busy Bees’ trainer, Steve; he has been very patient and flexible with us!
“Both First Aid and Fire Safety Training are absolutely essential in the day-to-day operation of Virgin Trains. As well as delivering an amazing customer experience, our people are also tasked with keeping our customers safe. For us, that is our number one priority.
“We would like to extend a huge thank you to Busy Bees Training Academy for their services so far. We will absolutely be doing more courses with them in the near future to continue to improve our customer service.”
Richard Turner, Talent Delivery Manager at Virgin Trains.
“Busy Bees Training First Aid at work course has provided me with the knowledge and the practical skills I need to feel confident in responding to any incident that occurs in my work place, ranging from a splinter in the finger to performing CPR on a casualty that has stopped breathing.
“The training itself was varied and interesting with a range of practical activities like bandaging, performing CPR on dummies and putting people in to the recovery position as well as quizzes, challenges and videos. Our trainer had an incredible 42 years of practical experience in first aid and he shared his wisdom and answered all our questions during the three days. I would not hesitate in recommending this course for anyone who wants to feel confident in providing care to patients should a first aid situation arise.”
