It’s a Hat trick of Success, now with a Royal Accolade! 15 - Aug - 2017

We’ve done it again! It’s like buses… This time, we are one of just forty companies in the UK to have been honoured with the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award.

Now in its second year, the Princess Royal Training Awards honours employers in the UK who have created outstanding training and skills development programmes which have resulted in exceptional commercial benefits. The Princess Royal Training Awards recognise the achievement of a standard of excellence.

The awards are supported by the City & Guilds Group President, HRH The Princess Royal, who is an active advocate for skills development.

We were assessed against three Hallmarks of Excellence and had to prove that:

1. Training and learning and development is integral to our business performance
2. Our programme is delivered efficiently and effectively
3. Our programme has an impact on the success of our organisation/sector and its people

We satisfied the awarding body that we have created a lasting impact by successfully linking our skills development needs to our business performance. Here’s what they said about us:

Pat Stringfellow MBE, Chair of the Princess Royal Training Awards Commission and City and Guilds of London Institute Councillor, said: ‘I would like to congratulate all the successful applicants for the Princess Royal Training Awards 2017. In this second year of the Awards we have seen an increasing focus on the quality of evidence presented supporting the impact and effectiveness of training across a wide range of sectors and organisations. It is evident from the Awards that organisations across the UK recognise the key role that training and staff development play in achieving success’.

The awards will culminate at a prestigious awards ceremony which will take place on Thursday 2 November 2017 at St James’s Palace and we’ll make sure we take plenty of photos on the day.
