This week we are challenging childcare apprentices in Busy Bees nurseries across the UK to take part in a week-long national competition in celebration of National Apprenticeship Week.
We will be asking the next generation of talented childcare and catering professionals to take part in a whole host of challenges as part of ‘The Apprenticeship Week Challenge’ and showcase their skills in tasks ranging from choreographing a dance routine with the children to cooking traditional Irish snacks. We will then share their entries on our Twitter page, @BusyBTraining, along with the hashtag #NAWCompetition.
All challenges are designed to promote all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, and showcase exactly why apprentices and childcare teams are so important to families across the country.
Each day we will announce the winning entry, who will win themselves and their team a luxury chocolate hamper.
Training Manager at Busy Bees Training, Fay Gibbin, explained the importance of National Apprenticeship Week:
“Childcare apprentices do amazing work in nurseries every day and we are using our National Apprenticeship Week competition as a way of demonstrating the remarkable level of care, attentiveness and enjoyment that they demonstrate in their roles.
“We consider our team of dedicated professionals our biggest asset, and investing in their future to ensure we continue to inspire young minds and deliver quality childcare, not just in Busy Bees nurseries but in nurseries across the UK, is vital.”
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW 2016) is co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service and is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
