We’re delighted to announce that the hard work and dedication of the team at Busy Bees has been recognised as part of the coveted Employer National Apprenticeship Awards.
During an awards ceremony, which took place at St. Helens RFC’s Langtree Park Stadium, we’re proud to say that Busy Bees Early Years Training Academy was highly commended in the ‘Macro Employer of the Year’ category for the North West region.
Our Training Manager, Fay Gibbin, and HR director, Claire Phizacklea, joined staff from other shortlisted businesses for the special event, which is now in its 13th year.
The Employer National Apprenticeship Awards is organised by the National Apprenticeship Service and recognises employers and apprentices from across England, that can demonstrate how apprenticeships have made a real difference to their organisation and careers. They also acknowledge businesses that grow their own talent through apprenticeships and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplaces.
We currently oversee more than 1,000 apprentices and have increased the amount of apprenticeship places we offer to school leavers by 68.9 percent since 2012, and 24 percent on last year.
Commenting on our achievement Fay Gibbin said; “We are proud to receive the 'Highly Commended' award at the National Apprenticeship Awards and to be counted among some of the best employers in the UK.
“We place huge importance on growing our own talent, and we firmly believe that our fabulous staff teams have been one of the fundamental contributors to the success of Busy Bees over the past 30 years. We've seen a number of talented practitioners join the business after leaving school and develop into well-rounded, dedicated and passionate Early Years Educators that provide the children in our nurseries with exemplary care every day, and we will continue to offer exemplary training opportunities to our apprentices.”
