Emergency First Aid (1 day/6 hours)

This course is ideal for those already working, or preparing to work within industry wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

What is the course about?

To understand basic recognition and treatment of paediatric injuries or illness and be able to be competent in administering basic paediatric first aid.

Who should attend?

Anyone that wants to learn emergency paediatric first aid.

What will you learn?

The role and responsibilities of the Emergency Paediatric First Aider. The ability to assess an emergency situation and prioritese your actions.

Course Content:

• Aims and responsibilities

• Recording of incidents and accidents and contents of first aid kit

• How to deal with an emergency

• Resuscitation CPR

• Recovery Position

• Choking/ Asthma

• Recognise and how to deal with shock

Paediatric First Aid (2 Days/12 hours)

 

This qualification is designed for those learners wishing to become a paediatric first aider in the workplace with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children. Learners gaining this qualification will know that first aid is the responsibility of everyone involved in the working environment.

The role and responsibilities of a Paediatric First aider. The ability to assess an emergency situation and prioritise your actions. Who should attend? Practitioners who work with children.

What will you learn?

How to deal with accidents and emergencies involving babies and young children.

This Blended Paediatric First Aid Course comes in 2 parts:

Part 1 involves completing our interactive elearning module and can be done any time before you attend the face to face training. You will be sent a link to the elearning module when you book this course.

Part 2 is a one day face to face course where you will learn and demonstrate all the practical sections of the course.

OR

Two days face to face.

 

First Aid at Work (3 Days/18 hours)

This course is ideal for those already working, or preparing to work within industry wishing to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

What is the course about?

This 3 day course provides comprehensive training together with reviews of actual events, which enables First Aid to be administered to a casualty within the work place.

Who should attend?

Nominated workplace first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive introduction to first aid.

What will you learn?

How to administer first aid at work.

Course Duration: 3 days (18 hours).

Fire Safety Awareness

This Fire Safety Training Course is designed for employees who want to develop their basic fire safety awareness in order to assist their employer by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk (e.g. as fire wardens/marshals/stewards etc.)

As part of the course you will cover a number of topics including;

  • The common causes of fire
  • The behaviour of fire
  • Legislation (brief)

You will receive:

Certificate in Fire Safety Awareness or

Level 2 Fire Safety
